Today's Weather Trivia:
1950: During the historic Winnipeg, MB, flood, a portly East Kildonan
housewife, carrying a tray of sandwiches, waded through a sea of mud to a
dike-side canteen. Suddenly, the sandwich bearer squealed as one of her
rubber boots stuck fast in the mud. Three soldiers jumped to the rescue. She
tugged, the soldiers pulled, the boot came clear, and the sandwiches were
delivered. All dikers cheered.
