Still Hot and Humid
Yesterday was quite hot and humid.Today it will be the same,or hotter, and the trend is expected to persist for the next 4 or 5 days.
Rain is still badly needed here and the situation is getting worse.I don't have a garden but every night I go in search of dandelion greens for my domesticated 'rodents'....rabbit,guinea pig and chinchilla....and they are getting harder to find.Nothing is growing. It must be a real battle for the farmers right now to keep their gardens from burning up.
The forecast:
Today..Sunny. High 28 except 22 along parts of the coast. UV index 8
or very high.
Tonight..Clear. Increasing cloudiness overnight. Fog patches
developing near midnight. Low 14.
Thursday..Clearing in the morning. Fog patches dissipating in the
morning. High 27 except 21 along parts of the coast.

Hot,Hot,Hot!
The past week was extremely hot here. The high temps for the first part of the week were near 40°C with lots of humidity. The latter part or the week was somewhat better with temps in the mid to upper 20s and less humidity.
It is still very dry,we had a brief period of rain on Thursday morning, and there is now an open fire ban in effect.Lots of people using wells are either out of water or using it sparingly.TS Bertha became a hurricane as it increased in strength and is currently diminishing near Bermuda and will have no effect on our area.
There is no sigificant rainfall expected this week.Showers are possible on Monday and Tuesday and then it's back into the cooker for the rest of the week.
This week's forecast:
The weather was great for the Privateer Days festival and the fireworks finale was spectacular. The temp at the waterfront at that time was a comfortable 22°C.
