Stormy Last Night,Stormy Today

Above...this morning's visual from the Hill.

Yesterday started out a little on the cool side but warmed up quite nicely to reach 13° on my thermometer by early afternoon.Shortly thereafter, the temp began falling and we were having snow by 5PM.The wet snow lasted for a couple of hours and then turned to ice pellets mixed with rain.We had a power failure that lasted a couple of hours in the late evening which was probably storm related.
Overnight the rain tapered to a light drizzle and temps are holding at just a degree or two above freezing. There's no change anticipated for today, clearing and warmer tomorrow.

It's the weekend.....so it will be stormy

This morning's weather photo.

Windy and cold here yesterday. The temp reached 10° on my backyard thermometer but the windchill was quite noticeable.Overnight the winds finally died out and the temp dropped to a couple of degrees below freezing.
Nice and clear this morning but that will be changing soon.Since it's Friday, our regular weekly weekend storm is on the way.It looks like it will be a cloudy and rainy weekend on the South Shore. At least the temperature will be seasonable.

It wasn't too bad here yesterday.....temps reached 5° and some of the snow from Friday melted.Overnight the temp dropped to a little below freezing and we had a few very light flurries.
Today looks like it will be similar to yesterday so a little more of this mess should possibly disappear.Warmer weather is still forecast for this week.
