11 December 2010 - Conditions at 7:33 AM: -5.2C, Clear, Wind: calm

It was quite cold here yesterday with temps staying below freezing all day.The evening was clear with temps near -5C.

We are expecting a few flurries today and temps will be on the rise through the weekend.

It was a sunny but cold day here yesterday with the high temp barely above 0C.The evening was clear with temps dropping to -5C where they remained overnight.

Today is expected to be another cold day but warmer weather is on the way by the end of the weekend.

We had a mix of sun and cloud yesterday with a few passing flurries.Afternoon temps reached +5C.The evening was mostly clear with temps dropping below freezing.

Overnight the temps dropped to -6 and it is quite frosty here this morning.Temps are expected to be a little below 0 for highs over the next few days.We should see a slight warm up by the weekend.

Yesterday started out with a few light flurries but all were over by the afternoon.Temps reached to about +5C and there were a few periods of sunshine.The evening was generally cloudy with temps near +2.

We are expecting a few showers or flurries today and tomorrow.Friday will be a bit on the cool side and then conditions will be a bit unsettled into next week with more showers and flurries along with increasing temps.

7 December 2010 - Conditions at 6:36 AM: +2.6C, Overcast, Wind: SSW 36 gust 47 km/h

Yesterday was quite a wild day here with high winds,rain,ice pellets and a little snow.Temps were mild in the morning but dropped through the day to about +3C where they held overnight.There were scatted power failures throughout the province,some storm surge flooding and wind damage.Most of the storm was over by early evening but we still had a few periods of ice pellets and snow through the evening.There was no accumulation in this area.

Today is expected to be a little better but showers are a possibility.According to the forecast we won’t see any sun until Friday.Temps are also expected to be colder by week’s end.

The ice was just thick enough to support the aircraft, but within 5 minutes gave way as the pair clambered through a window to safety. Both suffered minor frostbite. Yesterday was mild with temps near +10C.The day consisted of mostly overcast skies with some showers.There were a few brief periods of shunshine but those were few and far between.Steady rain began in the evening and increased overnight along with strong winds.

It is quite stormy here this morning with strong winds and heavy rain.Temps will once again be mild for this time of the year.These condition are expected to persist through the day and into tomorrow.A storm surge warning is currently in effect for this area.
