Today’s Weather Trivia:
11 December 1927: A Winnipeg, MB, man was found dead, with a revolver in each frozen hand, in the city's Elmwood Cemetery, near the grave of his wife. The revolvers were so tightly grasped they could not be removed until his body reached the morgue. Temperatures over the past week had been -33°C. Following serious domestic trouble, officials had taken his 6 children from him, prompting his suicide.– Excerpt from 'The Canadian Weather Trivia Calendar' by David Phillips. © Environment Canada
