Freezing Rain Warning

Yesterday was a little above freezing with no precip.Overnight the temps dropped and there is a storm on the way.We are currently under the following warning:

Yesterday was fairly mild here with temps above freezing for most of the day.Other than a brief period of drizzle there wasn't any precip.The evening temps dropped to the freezing point and then to a few degrees below by midnight.
Today is expected to be clear and seasonable before a disturbance moves in tomorrow and into Thursday.

Yesterday wasn't too bad for this time of the year here.Temps were +/- 0°C for the day and dropped to -5°C. overnight.There was no precip and the wind was light to calm for the day.
Today may be a bit messy with some snow inland and rain or a mix for us here on the coast.
Milder weather is expected mid-week and we won't be getting any of the extreme cold that has been setting records in the west of Canada.

Breezy Again

Yesterday wasn't too bad here with temps in the seasonal range and some sun.Overnight there were a few flurries and the wind picked up a bit.This morning it is quite windy and cold.Flurries are expected today and then a warm up tonight with some rain possible.It's back to colder weather tomorrow and then some disturbances will be moving through the area throughout the week.

Seasonal

Yesterday turned out to be a much better day than originally expected.Temps were seasonal* and there was quite a lot of sunshine.The wind died out in the afternoon and it was completely still in the evening with clear skies.
Some very light snow flurries moved through the area around midnight and accumulations were just a light dusting.
*According to Environment Canada,seasonal here at this time of the year is a min temp of -9°C(15.8°F) to a max of 0°C(32°F).

Friday Jan 2 - Winter Is Here To Stay

Yesterday was a cold and blustery day here.The temp held at -10°C for the day and the wind was quite strong with windchill values at around -20°C.
Conditions are expected to improve a little with a high of -2°C expected for today but the gusty winds will persist.There's a possible chance of some more snow this evening but only slight amounts are expected.
The cold is expected to be with us through the weekend and then above freezing temps are expected for Monday.

Thursday Jan 1,2009 - Happy New Year

Happy New Year everyone.
What a way to start '09..we had a major snowstorm last night.
Yesterday was a fairly nice day with temps just slightly below freezing and the occasional bit of sunshine.Conditions rapidly deteriorated in the early evening when the snow began.The rate of snowfall was quite high and the roads were covered quite quickly.
It has stopped snowing now but the wind is quite strong and is blowing the snow around a lot.
Total snowfall here is about 15cms but some drifts are quite higher.
This looks like a good day to stay inside.
