What a way to start '09..we had a major snowstorm last night.
Yesterday was a fairly nice day with temps just slightly below freezing and the occasional bit of sunshine.Conditions rapidly deteriorated in the early evening when the snow began. The rate of snowfall was quite high and the roads were covered quite quickly.
It has stopped snowing now but the wind is quite strong and is blowing the snow around a lot.
Total snowfall here is about 15cms but some drifts are quite higher.
This looks like a good day to stay inside.
The high on my thermometer yesterday was -2°C.
