Today's weather trivia: 21 February 2006: An Ottawa, ON, area woman pleaded
guilty to leaving a pint-sized pooch in her car last summer when the
temperature was 29°C (35°C with the humidex). She was given a 1-year
probation and fined $500. The Humane Society smashed her car window to
rescue the dog; inside, it was 48°C. The dog made a full recovery but would
have died without immediate attention.
