Today's weather trivia: 15 January
1922: A couple lay dying from influenza near Watcomb, ON. The father gave
his oldest son $1,200 from his trapping and asked him to take care of the
family. The boy left his now-deceased parents and the rest of the children
to go fetch help. He returned 2 days later to find the children near
freezing and gnawing raw moose flesh. The boy packed them on the dog sled
and found help in town.
