Today's weather trivia: 16 November
2007: In one of southern Ontario's strangest falls, trees were either bare,
ablaze in colour, or summer-green. Toronto's October average temperature was
14.3°C, the warmest ever. Frost signals trees to begin dropping their
leaves-with no frost yet, some trees remained in summer mode. Also, the
growing season had been so dry that many stressed trees hung onto their
leaves for nourishment.
