Today's Weather Trivia:
1944: Eastern Ontario received from 20 to 50 mm of rain. In Ottawa, cellars
flooded and lightning cut power, leaving the police radio off air for 20
minutes, and hit a streetcar, searing the driver's neck and right arm. In
Morrisburg, a bolt struck a metal weather vane atop St. Paul's Lutheran
Church belfry, ripped a hole in the roof, then went to ground through the
knave's metal-lined walls.
