Today's Weather Trivia:
2005: A stalled weather system hit the Bridgewater, NS, area. Lakes and
rivers swamped roads and bridges, when 100 mm of rain fell on top of the 160
mm that fell over the holiday weekend. Residents got 10 minutes to evacuate.
For May, over 400 mm fell at Cape Sable Island and over 500 mm at Liverpool.
Over half the days in May had less than 1 hour of sun, including 9 overcast
days in a row.

the eastern horizon, with pink above it. The dark band is Earth's shadow. As
Earth turns on its axis the shadow will engulf you and the daytime sky will
give way to night.
