Today’s Weather Trivia:
30 December 2007: A Quebec man sold the "magnificent" 2-m-high snowbank in front of his home on eBay for $3,550, less than two weeks after putting it up for sale. His sales pitch was: "Perfect for ski hills. No returns or refunds." Bidding started at 99 cents. Proceeds went to Operation Enfant Soleil, a Quebec charity for children's hospitals. The buyer used it to supply a snowball fight with his family. – Excerpt from 'The Canadian Weather Trivia Calendar' by David Phillips. © Environment Canada
