Today’s Weather Trivia:
30 August 2008: A slow-moving low pressure system brought copious amounts of rain to parts of southern Manitoba. The heaviest amounts occurred from Dauphin through Gypsumville to Berens River where upwards of 100 mm fell. Overland flooding swamped fields, swelled ditches, and overtopped roads. More September rains were the final straw for cattle producers who, unable to afford hay, began liquidating their herds. – Excerpt from 'The Canadian Weather Trivia Calendar' by David Phillips. © Environment Canada

Well, I am just glad we installed window tint on our living room windows so our AC does not have to run as much and we save energy on our electric bills. We purchased affordable window tint kits from SnapTint and installed it ourselves. What a difference in home cool the room stays now. Check out SnapTint's website for more information.
