Yesterday was a warm and sunny day here once the fog lifted in the early morning.The afternoon high was near 20°C and it was a little breezey.The evening was mostly clear with temps dropping to near 10°C overnight.

Sunshine is expected for the next couple of days and then there’s a chance of some showers in the latter part of the week.

·         Today - Sunny. Fog patches dissipating this morning. Wind becoming west 20 km/h late this morning. High 16. UV index 7 or high.

·         Tonight -- Cloudy periods. Low 7.

·         Wednesday -- Sunny. Becoming a mix of sun and cloud in the afternoon. High 18.

·         Thursday -- Periods of rain. Low 7. High 15.

June 8,1954: This notice appeared in the daily newspaper in Sault Ste. Marie, ON: "Strange objects will be floating about Sault skies for six weeks. The objects will be plastic (weather) balloons, 40 to 60 feet in size, to be used in biological research.
