Currently: +23°C,overcast w/fog,light SW - Bill getting closer

Yesterday wasn’t too bad here.Afternoon temps were in the mid-20°C range and humidity was fairly low until the late afternoon.Fog moved into the area then and remained with us overnight.Temps held at slightly above +20°C overnight and are still there this morning.This is actually the warmest temp we have had at this time of the day so far this summer….warmer than what it was during the heat wave when daytime highs were in the +30°Cs.Today is expected to be a rather uncomfortable day as temps and humidity levels rise ahead of Hurricane Bill.

Cloudy with 60 percent chance of drizzle or showers this morning and early this afternoon

then a mix of sun and cloud. Wind becoming southwest 20 km/h gusting to

40 this morning.

High 29. UV index 5 or moderate.

  • Tonight

A few clouds. Increasing cloudiness late this evening with showers beginning

overnight. Amount 2 mm. Wind southwest 30 km/h gusting to 50. Low 21.

  • Sunday

Rain at times heavy changing to showers late in the day. Amount 50 to 70 mm except locally

110 mm in areas of heaviest rain. Wind southeast 40 km/h gusting to 60 becoming northeast

40 gusting to 60 in the afternoon then becoming northwest 40 gusting to 60 in the evening.

High 23.

Hurricane Bill continues to track towards us and,on it’s current track,it’s eye is expected to pass about 150kms south of our coast tomorrow.Strong winds and heavy rains extend outwards from the eye a couple of hundred kilometers and we will begin to experience storm conditions early Sunday morning.Bill will still be a class 1 hurricane as it moves through our area and high seas and crashing surf are expected:http://www.peggyscovewebcam.ca/live/
