Monday Dec 8 - A Brief Taste Of Winter


Well......it's wintery out there this morning.After a mild Sunday with torrential rain we are getting a little snow.The temps began to fall early last evening and there were a few flakes mixed in with the rain at that time.A complete changeover happened throughout the night and we have a light coating on everything this morning.The wind is also quite strong and the windchill is reported at -10°C.
Conditions are apparently worse in other areas....there is no school and some car accidents have been reported.
On the upside,a complete turn around is on the way.Rain and a warm +12°C is forecast for Wednesday.

The high on my thermometer yesterday was +8°C.

Day: Periods of snow ending this morning then a mix of sun and cloud with 60 percent chance of flurries. Amount 2 cm. Local blowing snow. Wind northwest 40 km/h gusting to 60. Temperature falling to minus 7 this afternoon.
Night: Cloudy periods with 60 percent chance of flurries early this evening. Otherwise clear. Wind northwest 40 km/h gusting to 60 becoming light overnight. Low minus 10.
Tuesday
Increasing cloudiness. 60 percent chance of flurries late in the day and of rain showers in the evening. Showers along the coast. Wind becoming southwest 30 km/h late in the day. High plus 2.
