not as high as what they were on Tuesday but still topped the seasonal
high.We are now starting to see quite a variation in the actual Liverpool
temp and the temp reported from Western Head and labeled as being Liverpool
online and in the media.
Today is expected to be warmer and sunnier than yesterday.Showers will be
moving into the area tonight and persisting through tomorrow and Saturday. It

Today's Weather Trivia:
1780: In southeastern Canada and in New England, darkness fell throughout
the late morning. By 2:00 PM, it was so dark that birds stopped singing and
people lit candles to read. Some believed that judgment day was at hand,
others that it was an eclipse or volcanic eruption. Actually, a forest fire
near Lake Champlain had sent smoke too high for people to smell but dark
enough to block the sun.

Sky Events:

Solar Activity: Solar activity is expected to remain very low with a chance
for C-class activity for the next three days (19-21 May) as new Region 1218
continues to develop.
.
AURORA ('Northern Lights') WATCH: Auroral activity will be QUIET.
.
Next ISS visible sightings: No sightings possible until May 27.
.
The Big Dipper hangs high in the north as darkness falls this evening. It is
upside down, with the stars of the handle to the right of the bowl. If you
extend the handle's arc, you loop to the bright stars Arcturus and Spica,
forming a giant semicircle.
