Today’s Weather Trivia:

6 March 1838: The winter across southern Ontario was so unusually mild that the growing season continued uninterrupted. A farmer in West Gwillimbury harvested a quantity of new potatoes, some of them as large as a hen's egg, which he discovered growing under a pile of manure.-Excerpt from 'The Canadian Weather Trivia Calendar' by David Phillips. © Environment Canada
