We had about 5 cms of snow here yesterday from a system that moved through from daylight until the mid-afternoon.Temps were slightly above the freezing for most of the day and slightly below during the evening and overnight hours.
Flurries are expected for the next couple of days with a possibility of periods of snow in the middle of the week.No amounts have been forecast yet.

10 January 1911: Of livestock, sheep suffer the most from cold. In Sweet Grass, AB, snow had drifted to the top of a 15-m-high cutbank, and 1,100 sheep walked off the cliff, more than 50 perishing. Another rancher lost a huge number of his 3,000-head flock, many straying before and during the storm.
