Today’s Weather Trivia:
2 August 2007: Vancouver, BC, residents correctly described this summer as one of the worst in recent memory. Only 3 of 16 weekends were fully dry. From late May to early September, 22 of 36 weekend days were wet, and from June to September, almost 2/3rds of the summer precipitation fell on Saturdays and Sundays. In 2006, of the 122 mm of rain that fell in those same 4 months, only 17% fell on a weekend. – Excerpt from 'The Canadian Weather Trivia Calendar' by David Phillips. © Environment Canada
