Today's Weather Trivia:

June 17,1922: It rained for 5 straight days in New Brunswick. Eventually a dam on the Tetagouche River gave way from rising waters filled with 6 million feet of lumber and debris. Half the lumber escaped into the Saint John River; the rest jammed against a Canadian Pacific bridge at Hartland pushing it more than a metre out of alignment. – Excerpt from 'The Canadian Weather Trivia Calendar' by David Phillips. © Environment Canada
