Currently:+17C,overcast w/l.rain,calm - Pics from Bill

Hurricane Bill wasn't as bad as it could have been here but it was bad enough. The storm started here at about 8AM and was raging pretty good by 10.The worst of the storm was from 10AM until 2PM when we received a lot of rain and high winds. Our power was off on 2 occasions...first @ 10:30AM for 1.5 hrs and again @ 3PM for 1 hr...not good for my cams.
The rain ended quite quickly by 2PM and the sky began to clear.Winds remained strong for a few more hours but the temp rose to +26C and it was very humid....actually turned out to be a pretty nice day.
Damage in this area was minimal...tree branches and leaves were the main things lying around the streets.Other than that, the causeway in Western Head, near the EC weather station, was completely destroyed by the pounding surf.Oh yeah...I lost the HDD in my main PC.Have it replaced but haven't got all of the progs completely installed.Kinda working 'bare bones' here this morning.

(Top:conditions at the weather station @10:30AM;middle:some of the heavy surf;bottom:the destroyed causeway.)

This week is expected to be fairly decent and seasonable. We are expecting a little rain today and then back to sun for tomorrow.
The 2 day forecast:
Today

Tonight

Tuesday
