Yesterday wasn't too bad here ahead of the storm.Afternoon temps reached into the double digits and we had some sun.The evening was mild with mostly cloudy skies.The rain moved into the area in the early morning and was quite heavy by times but not as intense as forecast.We are still under a rainfall warning:

A low pressure system west of the Maritimes will bring periods of heavy rain to the Atlantic coast of Nova Scotia today. Rain over mainland Nova Scotia will spread over eastern Nova Scotia early this morning. Rainfall amounts of over 25 millimetres are expected along the Atlantic coast with lesser amounts over the remainder of the province. Recent heavy rainfalls could make low lying areas susceptible to localized flooding.
The system will also bring strong southerly winds with gusts to around 80 km/h expected over most exposed locations and gusts as high as 120 km/h over northern Inverness county.
