Tropical Depression

While our weather remains cool and unsettled here a tropical depression has formed to our south.The following statement is from the NHC:

AT 500 AM AST...0900 UTC...THE CENTER OF TROPICAL DEPRESSION ONE WAS LOCATED
NEAR LATITUDE 38.9 NORTH...
LONGITUDE 66.3 WEST OR ABOUT 260 MILES...420 KM...SOUTHEAST OF NANTUCKET
MASSACHUSETTS AND ABOUT 420 MILES...
670 KM...SOUTH-SOUTHWEST OF HALIFAX NOVA SCOTIA.
THE DEPRESSION IS MOVING TOWARD THE EAST-NORTHEAST NEAR
15 MPH...24 KM/HR...AND AN INCREASE IN FORWARD SPEED IS EXPECTED DURING
THE NEXT 24 TO 36 HOURS.
THE DEPRESSION IS NOT EXPECTED TO THREATEN ANY LAND AREAS.

Our weather yesterday was not very good.Temps were well below normal and it was windy and damp.We had a few showers through the day and the early evening but we did see some clearing in the late evening.The high on my thermometer yesterday was +13°C.
This morning it is once again gray and cool.The weather is expected to remain stormy today and tomorrow with a break finally coming on Sunday.

The forecast for today:
Today
Cloudy with 60 percent chance of showers or drizzle. Fog patches along the coast late this morning and this afternoon. Wind east 30 km/h. High 11. UV index 3 or moderate.

Cloudy with 60 percent chance of showers. Showers beginning overnight. Risk of a thundershower overnight. Fog. Wind east 20 km/h becoming light this evening. Temperature steady near 10.

Saturday
Showers ending in the evening then cloudy. Risk of a thundershower. Amount 5 to 10 mm. Fog patches retreating to the coast in the morning. Wind becoming west 20 km/h in the evening. High 12.

Cool and Damp

Yesterday was another cool,windy and cloudy day with a few showers here on the south shore.The high on my thermometer was only +13°C.There were more showers in the evening and little change overnight.A few more days of this dreary weather and then we should see the sun again on Sunday....hopefully.
According to the long range forecast there's much better weather on the way for next week.

Yesterday was sunny but cool with a northerly breeze.Temps dipped to near freezing in the evening and there were frost warnings issued for various areas in the province.
The high on my thermometer yesterday was +18°C.
Today is expected to be similar to yesterday and then rain moves tomorrow,lasting into the weekend.

Clear and Breezy

Yesterday was a nice day with warm temps and sunshine.The evening was a bit breezy and temps dropped to the lower double digits by early evening.The sky remained clear and star filled...some photos are here.Overnight temps were in the single digits and the wind remained brisk.
The high on my thermometer yesterday was +22°C.
Today is expected to be similar to yesterday and the rain expected for tomorrow has been moved to Thursday.

Wind is brisk NW.

Sunny. Wind northwest 20 km/h becoming light near noon. High 16. UV index 7 or high.

The ISS pass at 9:30PM last night was quite brilliant.Best viewing time tonight is at 9:55PM rising in the NW sky.

Yesterday wasn't much of a day here and the forecast for the week has been changed to include more rain than previously expected.
The high on my thermometer yesterday was only +13°C and the day was drizzly and cloudy with a few periods of rain.Overnight most of the system moved out of the are and it is beginning to clear.Unfortunately,today and tomorrow are the only dry days expected with more rain moving in on Wednesday and staying for the rest of the week.
Currently in Liverpool:

Wind is light N.

Cooler and damp

Yesterday was quite a bit cooler than the previous two days but it was sunny and the sky remained mostly clear through the evening.
The high on my thermometer was +20°C in the afternoon.
Overnight a system moved into the area and rain is expected,with the possibility of some thunder showers,today.
The current conditions in Liverpool @8:30AM:

At this point,the upcoming week is not looking too bad until another disturbance moves in at week's end.
